Recommended add-ons for Firefox

The following add-ons are listed in no particular order.

NoScript -nice to be able to block a lot of the junk embedded in web pages

Flashblock – as much as I like flash content I have no patience with all the junk advertising

Advert Ban - another useful tool

FastestFox - I do like that it loads google searches into one continuous page

User Agent Switcher – useful for sites that block certain browsers or to change your browser/operating system’s identification

Stylish – change the look of web sites or your browser, remove ads or other unwanted features from sites like twitter

The following add-ons need updates to be compatible with the latest browser version.

Splash – let’s you specify a startup splash picture, not particularly useful, but definitely fun

Past Modern - this is a visual theme for FireFox that I prefer
